Well Keeper Reflections

Public·165 Well Keepers

My first Well Keeper Day was today, I feel honored to be one of many who are taking on the sacred task of tending the Well. During the day, inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, I held the inquiry: What does it mean to be an "able vessel" in these times?

Though I am often doubt filled, today I 'heard' : To stay afloat in these choppy waters 1) We must seal/heal any leaks in our boat that we can find (addictions of any kind, holding onto past trauma, distractions, etc.) leaving no leaks untended. 2) We must sharpen our navigation skills (sun/moon/stars, learn to read the signs that are always being provided by Nature and take direction from them, know when to flow with the current and when to steer decisively in a different direction. 3) There are times of sailing solo but even then always stay connected to the other sailors, wave and smile as we pass each other, share provisions and knowledge, share our joy and our courage. If one of us falters take courage and strength from the other seaworthy vessels out there. 4) Most of all, give ourselves fully to Love, the time for holding back is over. Take heart, though currently under siege, the circle of life is unbroken. We have all that is needed for the task ahead.
