I chose October 7th to hold the space for the anniversary of the most recent, notable middle east conflict.
At day beginning I turned towards a meditation known as “Breath, Body, Sound, Thoughts, Emotions - plus a Difficulty.”
I wanted to increase my intention to bring awareness to the triggering of my own biases.
My sister and niece live in Israel. I fear for their safety. I am also aware that there are so very many, also caught up in the conflict, who have no safe rooms and no where safe to be.
For me, the Well Keepers is a call to awaken, to soften, be curious and be open as I welcome unconditional peace for all.
After a long meditation, I wove in a phone call to my sister - telling her about this day. I asked if she had a comment - she said, "War is not the answer - no matter what."
I then noticed a resonance with previous Well Keepers who had gone into nature. So I found the wildest locale available in Toronto, and went out with the intention to offer welcome and a friendly greeting to everyone I met. I wanted my eyes and my smile to say, "Hey, we need each other! We're all in this together, don't ya know."
Coming home – I begin to weave today’s embrace of the world into a talk I will give tomorrow at Sick Kids hospital. Breathing in, I welcome all, breathing out, sending the radiant resonance of love as far as it can go.
This is beautiful, Elaine. Thank you
