January 7th
it was early dawn when Agota , from Hungary passed me the Well Keeper’s torch and now it is evening here in the UK and I am passing the torch to Linda in New Zealand.
It has been a wild, storm tossed day and I was so thankful to be home and BE. Musing on this ‘torch’ that is passed from person to person, covering a great deal of our global community, I thought of the light house keepers down through the ages; their light a steady presence for those on hazardous seas; and I find an echo of that in our well keeping torch and in our hazardous world, holding steady, being there for those on the rocks and for those swimming in ever deeper waters.
Although my day turned out to be technically challenging with phone and banking systems, quite unlike the placid day I had in mind - keeping all of you on this Calendar in mind, helped me stay present and calm
Blessings and Thank you. And now to NZ where it is 3:30 am….
I love the image of the torch and how it has circled the globe so many times in this year of reflection and holding. Thanks for sharing that image of the light holding us all steady as we navigate the rocks and rough spots in this troubled world.
