Circles
Keeping the well February 4, as the one year cycle of everyday tending is coming nearly to the end, and a new cycle is beginning
The idea of creating circles of stones came surprisingly
Later I suddenly remembered Barbra commenting on my previous day of tending; I imagining you making circles in the snow….
The diversity that stones represent is maybe similar to that of snow crystals
As a polarity, stones accumulate warmth and energy from the sun
Stones have the qualities of solidity/ robustness, but they can also crack
Creating stone circles awakened curiosity about stones as living beings
A joyful process
The quality of playfulness was entering this practice
Awareness became focused
My heart was opening
Connectedness became the essence
Then, I recognised that the emerging circles are mirroring those circles to whom I belong; the local circle of eight women, the Scandinavian Circle of six women, and the international Well Keeper Circle
And isn’t the archetypal images of the Well a circle created of stones?
In gratitude 🙏
Drawing in a fresh breath of the essence of your sharing. Appreciating the playfulness.
Connection as you said, circles mirrored.
Simple, clear, profound.
Your final question a delightful surprise, like the last line of a Haiku,
holding, opening and deepening into a spaciousness new of possibility.
