Reflection from Carolyn Askar:

I walked by the flooded fields and ford near our home in Berkshire, UK. And wrote this piece.
I have had a strong sense today of all the women (and men) across the planet who I know will have similar hopes and dreams.
I hope you all enjoy your day of contemplation.
With fond greetings,
Carolyn
WELL-KEEPING 11th March 2024
Dreams are whispering low,
Chiming with the yearning of my soul.
Dark clouds steal light,
Sodden valleys yield to rain.
Ground vibrates a warning
Secret creatures disappear.
Breath holds through winter’s vale,
Global darkness must give way.
……
Hope spills verdant shoots
Brushing the edges of my mind.
Fleeting wings soaring skywards
Chime the wildness of our hopes:
As women join voices of reason and compassion
They sing a new season of spring buds to life
And mirror the connections of our hearts
Exploding man-made divisions with light.
Thanks for the poem. Lovely.
