Well Keeper Reflections

Public·177 Well Keepers

September 13, 2024

Today is the 10th anniversary of my sister Jane’s passing. I only had one thing planned for the day – to go to a nearby creek where salmon come to spawn about this time of year and have some time with the fish and Jane. There were no fish yet; I might have been a week or two early. But with the silence, smells and flow of water at my side, I felt complete.

The essences of the day that came in the pre-dawn hours; Forgiveness

In the morning; Nourishment.

Noontime; I had a deep sense of Thankfulness for the ordinary things that I am able to do;

Afternoon; At the creek—Belonging

I forgive

I nourish

I give thanks

I belong

As this day of fullness comes to a close, these essences are offered to you Caro, to continue with in the keeping of the Well, beginning at midnight.

Blessings,

Kathy

Dear Kathy,

Thank you for this beautiful offering at The Well. Thank you for passing these Essences and the simple profound poem on to me. I receive them in the warm light of the almost full moon shining down upon me. In preparation for my day as a Well Keeper, I was swimming at a nearby lake this afternoon in solitude and stillness with an occasional patch of breeze. I noticed two fish as I climbed out. More proof that we are all connected and do indeed belong.

Blessings to you and everyone else reading this,

Caro
