Tending on June 8.
Such a precious way to spend a day at such a special place. Gratitude that my day of tending the Wellspring could happen on my favorite river.
She is called xaa-wvn’-taa-ghii~-li~’, nii~-li~’ by the Tolowa tribe (Smith River). I followed her, played in her, prayed with her and watched her meet the sea. I felt deeply tended as I tended and floated flowers of prayers out from the peace that flows so freely here. Thank you for creating this opportunity. Blessings on you all.
This river...
Winding through redwood majesty,
Crystal murmuring of ripples deepening into pools of emerald
Then moving on to meet the sea.
Gratitude for this fading dream of earthly beauty
As it deeply nurtures my wandering soul,
Taught by her, xaa-wvn’-taa-ghii~-li~’, nii~-li~’ ,
To find the way home.

I am mesmerized by the colors.... of your special river, of the sea, and of the magnficent Redwood tree. What beauty! Thank you so much for sharing!
