Well Keeper Reflections

Public·168 Well Keepers

Monday, November, 25.

The first snow has already turned into rain. The day is dressed in grey. I choose to spend time in my home, in need of rest and a very slow pace. Sitting indoors gazing through the window with my morning coffee, I recognise there still are a few small autumn leaves left on the naked November trees. They haven’t blown away with the wind, and they don’t seem ready to let go. I wonder; what is the “ deciding” force behind the timing when such late or “stubborn” leaves reach the point of readiness? What am I myself holding on to, that I need to let go? What about my own timing; my point of readiness?

Through the day, when I go for a walk in slow motion, I am  specifically aware that; when I am tending the well; the well is also tending me.

The Wellspring of Life is always present; intending to nourish every human being and all life; always.

Being a well keeper feels like participating in a practice of remembering and of realigning the well; tending and being tended. Simultaneously.

Stress and adversity hits and makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to get in touch with the well. Both on the individual level and collectively.

I feel privileged and grateful living under circumstances that invite the possibility of remembering and realigning to the well as source. May every living being one future day have an equal opportunity.

I am grateful for being part of the well keeping community.
